"MMCR" means the daily money market credit rate determined by the Bank to be the arithmetic mean (rounded upwards to four decimal places) of the deposit rates per annum quoted on Reuters under code FWDS, in the London interbank markets at or about 9.00 a.m. for the offering of deposits for the relevant amount in the relevant currency.

The interest rates shown are subject to daily fluctuations in the domestic and international money markets and are annual gross rates i.e. taking no account of the deduction of UK basic rate income tax (the UK is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).

Credit interest on the Call Deposit Account accrues on a daily basis and is credited quarterly to the account for sterling and half- yearly for all other currencies.

The interest calculation base is 365 days for sterling and 360 days for all other currencies.

Any interest paid to an account in the UK governed by UK law on income tax. Accordingly interest will normally be paid net of income tax at the basic rate. Individuals, who are not ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom for tax purposes, may claim payment of interest without deduction of tax upon completion of an appropriate declaration. Further information regarding payment of interest will be supplied upon request.
